In a statement on Sunday, the chamber’s board of representatives said that reviving production, trade, investment and employment after the end of war was the country’s foremost national mission, adding that the active and responsible participation of the private sector alongside state institutions would be essential to maximizing benefits for Iran and improving living standards. Full text of the statement: The epic-making efforts of the great Iranian nation during the recent imposed war once again brought to the forefront proud scenes of resilience, solidarity and sacrifice. The Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, representing the country’s private sector, expresses its utmost respect and gratitude for the courage of the brave fighters and honors the memory of the proud martyrs of this land, especially the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, those who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the dignity, security and honor of the Islamic Iran and once again reminded the world of the greatness of the Iranian spirit. Undoubtedly, their perseverance and self-sacrifice will remain a lasting asset for the strength and progress of dear Iran, and their names will forever endure in the historical memory of the Iranian nation. The community of private-sector economic actors believes that prudence, rationality and prioritizing the nation’s higher interests require support for any initiative, understanding or agreement that can contribute to ending conflicts, reducing tensions, strengthening security and opening new horizons for the country’s economic and commercial interactions. The experience of nations demonstrates that sustainable development, economic prosperity and improved public welfare are achievable through peace, stability and relations based on mutual respect and shared interests. From this perspective, utilizing diplomacy and constructive agreements to overcome current conditions is a strategic necessity for safeguarding national interests, increasing the resilience of the country’s economy and creating the foundations for Iran’s prosperity and advancement. In this regard, we extend our sincerest appreciation to those leading the country’s diplomatic efforts and to all those who have selflessly dedicated their reputation to this path. The Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture emphasizes that following the end of the conflicts, achieved through the country’s strength and resistance and the prudence exercised at the highest levels of holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the foremost national responsibility is to return the wheels of production, trade, investment and employment to their natural and sustainable course. Protecting the achievements of the recent agreement and transforming them into tangible results for a production boom and improved livelihoods for all citizens is the responsibility of all pillars of governance. In this process, the active and responsible participation of the country’s private sector alongside government officials and policymakers will guarantee the realization of maximum benefit for dear Iran. More than ever, the national economy requires stability, predictability, protection of businesses, prevention of disruptions in production and service cycles, support for the restoration and continuity of employment, revival of supply chains, facilitation of trade, safeguarding of human and material capital, and the provision of suitable conditions for rebuilding damaged capacities. These are essential requirements for preserving the foundations of the national economy and ensuring the economic welfare and security. Therefore, it is expected that once normal political and economic conditions are restored, reform of the country’s economic governance system will become a priority. The Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture also condemns the unilateral and unjustified sanctions imposed on a number of the country’s entrepreneurs, traders and private enterprises. It emphasizes that Iran’s private-sector actors have always operated within the framework of legitimate economic activities aimed at wealth creation, job generation and development, and that no restrictive measure can weaken their determination to serve the nation. We are confident that the country’s diplomatic apparatus will make use of all available international capacities to remove these restrictions, as their continuation not only harms the legitimate rights of economic actors but also creates obstacles to trade development, technology transfer, investment attraction and the expansion of constructive international economic cooperation. Relying on the vast capabilities of the private sector and the country’s social and human capital, the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture believes that Iran can advance the path of reconstruction, recovery and prosperity with strength and hope through national unity, rational decision-making, stronger economic engagement and the effective use of emerging opportunities, under the wise guidelines of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei and can secure a future worthy of the great Iranian nation.
