Iran-Australia economic potential remains despite regional uncertainty, trade official says

The economic, scientific and human capacities linking Iran and Australia remain intact despite growing economic risks and regional instability that have slowed new business initiatives, the head of the Iran-Australia Joint Chamber of Commerce said.

Hamidreza Managhebi said many companies and investors had become more cautious about starting new partnerships due to heightened uncertainty, making the preservation of existing business ties an important achievement. He said regional tensions, logistical constraints and disruptions to transport routes had affected some trade and development plans. However, the chamber has continued efforts to maintain contacts between businesses in the two countries and prepare the ground for the resumption of cooperation when conditions become more stable. “Economic, scientific and human capacities between Iran and Australia remain in place,” Managhebi said.
