Iran’s trade with Turkey exceeds $7 billion in H1 fiscal year

The volume of trade between Iran and Turkey hit $7.042 billion in the first half of the Iranian calendar year to late March 2026, according to a report by semi-official Mehr news agency.

Turkey remained Iran’s third largest trade partner in the period under review as its trade with Iran accounted for 13.2% of the Iranian total trade.

According to the report, $2.718 billion of the total sum was Iran’s exports to Turkey, while the western neighbor had exported as much as $4.324 billion to Iran during the six-month period.

Petrochemicals and oil-based products accounted for 48 and 33 percent of Iran’s exports to Turkey respectively, while industrial products were Turkey’s number one export items to Iran during the time span.
