The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation is an organization for economic cooperation among Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.The establishment of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation was announced officially through the Istanbul Declaration of Summit of Heads of State/Government on June 15, 1997. The objectives of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation are to improve member states’ position in the global economy, diversify and create new opportunities in trade relations, enhance participation in decision-making at international level, and improve standards of living. The ICCIMA is also a member of the D-8 Chamber of Commerce and Industry (D8-CCI) whose goals include Supporting cooperation among the business sectors in the member states through diversifying commercial products in order to achieve economic integration and economic and social development therein, developing industrial and agricultural products in the D-8 countries and promoting the concept of quality and competitiveness, supporting the enhancement of cooperation in the areas of Trade, Services, Industry, small and medium enterprises, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Intra-Regional Tourism and Handicrafts.
