The World Chambers Federation (WCF) is an integral part of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), established by ICC and its chamber members to serve as a global platform for chambers of commerce and industry. The WCF was first known as the International Information Bureau of Chambers of Commerce and has undergone several name changes as its role expanded and grew. Today, it is known as the World Chambers Federation and serves as a global network for chambers of commerce and industry, facilitating communication, cooperation, and best practice sharing among its members.
The WCF organizes the World Chambers Congress every two years, providing a platform for chamber leaders and professionals to share best practices, exchange insights, and learn about new areas of innovation. The Congress also serves as a forum for the announcement of the winners of the World Chambers Competition, which recognizes the most innovative projects undertaken by chambers of commerce and industry.
Iran has been an active member of the ICC and WCF, with the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) serving as the national committee for Iran.
