The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) was established during the first Conference of the Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Islamic States in Istanbul in 1977.In 1979, its headquarters on the offer of the Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was established in 1979 in Karachi (the economic and commercial capital of Pakistan), with Diplomatic Status. ICCIA is affiliated institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and is the sole representative of the private sector in 57 Member Islamic Countries. It aims at strengthening closer collaboration in the areas of trade, commerce, information technology, insurance/reinsurance, shipping, banking, promotion of investment opportunities and joint ventures in the Member countries. ‎ The president of the ICCIMA is a member of the ICCIA’s board of directors.
