ICCIMA 26 August- Indonesia Economy-day and Iran- Indonesia cooperation meeting were hold with the presences of two countries' heads of chambers of commerce in the location of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agricultures on 25 August 2013.
According to the report of ICCIMA's public relations, Mohammad Nahavandian the president of private sector parliament pointed to the high capacities of Iran and Indonesia for promoting economic cooperation and said: "the relations and transactions between two sides are not satisfactory and it should be removed by holding joint meetings. In addition to political and cultural commonalities, Iran and Indonesia have a lot in common."
He explained: "Oil, gas and petrochemical are good areas for developing trade cooperation that are of mutual interest. In recent years, Iran private sector provides these fields for developing two sides' relations too."
Iran chamber's head continued: "Cooperation in the field of small and medium businesses is the other good areas for two sides. For promoting trade transactions, we need to some special services like banking services which two countries' banks should have coordinated. Of course, Iran will try to remove sanctions."
He announced that Iran chamber is ready to promote its relations with Indonesia chamber of commerce and industry.
Emphasizing on common areas between Iran and Indonesia, Dian Wirengjurit Indonesian ambassador in Tehran criticized the loss of opportunities for developing trade relations and said: "now is the time of developing two countries' transactions based on two sides' capacities, natural resources, human resources and technologies. Iran and Indonesia can cooperate in the fields of oil and petrochemical."
He noted:" Indonesia can achieve to good infrastructure with Iranian skills, technologies and experts. After redefining relations between the two countries, Indonesian embassy will not let to loss opportunities and with careful planning, it uses existing capacities for promoting relations with Iran."
Indonesian ambassador in Tehran emphasized: "Indonesia embassy will hold cultural week of this country on 19-24 September for developing cooperation and also Indonesia will provide its products in an exhibition which to be hold occasion of Islamic Conference in Iran on 22 September."
It is said that Seyed Mehdi Mirabutalebi Iran chamber's deputy in international affairs was elected as the president of Iran-Indonesia economic committee and Fadel Muhammad as the president of Indonesia- Iran economic committee.
Finally a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Iran chamber of commerce, industries, mines and agriculture and Indonesia chamber of commerce and Industry.
